International collaboration

1. International Project GIPAP (Glivec International Patient Assistance Program) – „New diagnostic and treatment options in chronic myeloid leukemia”.

The project GIPAP had been launched in 2007. This project is running within the frame of clinical base of the department – PMSI Institute of Oncology and provide the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia patients with tirosin kinase inhibitors. Manager of the program – V. Musteaţă, MD, PhD, MPH, associate professor. Mentor  – I. Corcimaru, MD, PhD, university professor.

The project serves as a platform for researches with the theme „Diagnostic, management and treatment aspects of chronic myeloid leukemia”. There were studied the prognostic factors and the results of different treatment modalities in chronic myeloid leukemia.

2. International Project HOPE 87  – „Hope for chidren from the Republic of Moldova”

The project had been launched in 2010. This project is running within the frame of clinical base of the department – PMSI Institute of Oncology. University professor I. Corcimaru and associate professor V. Musteaţă participate in this project on the part of the university department. The project stipulates the organization of educational classes and the creation of a Center for the bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cells transplantation for ill children with malignant tumors from pediatric departments of the PMSI Institute of Oncology.

3. Institutional project – “Ellaboration of new technologies for treatment and anesthesiology & intensive care of patients with tumors of locomotor system and soft tissues”, approved by the Academy of Sciences  of Moldova , State registration number 2011-2014, No.11.817.09.44.A .

4. International project – “Recuperation of oncologic patients”, PMSI IO, UMF “Gr. Popa”, Romania.
